slit me open and rip the heart out of my chest so my blood can no longer
circulate with the intensity you make me feel
sew my eyelids shut so i can no longer see your astounding beauty
drown my ears with noise so i can no longer hear the eloquence of your words

burn off my hands so i can no longer caress myself with thoughts of you
and leave, and leave me there to die alone in my masquerade.
