Keep In Touch, We Said

A promise I made.
But a promise
I haven't kept.
We'll stay in touch,
We said.
But it hasn't turned out that way.
Everyday I think
About just calling you up
And just saying hi.
But I've only gotten as far as
Dialing the number.
I'm so scared to talk to you.
What would I say?
I know what I want to say,
But I don't know how to say it.
And I can't tell you
What I'm thinking
Because I can't ruin this platonic realtionship.
I not only want to tell you
What's up with me,
But I want to know what's
Up with you.
So I hope I get the nerve
To call you
Before it's to late.
