you sent a stranger to my dismay
to give you regrets
and offer your apologies
but fell short of explaining
your strategy
for helping me to understand
your inconsistent feelings
that change from day to day
like the wind they shift
another way
your inconsistent words
that say "I love you" so sincerely
and true
just to have your actions
misrepresent you
you draw me near then
push me away
you let me in then shut me out
now I'm filled with confusion
and doubt

you didn't show up for our
