Breaking through the clouds
the light so suddenly blinding, causing my eyes to burn
- or perhaps that’s just the tears...
my surroundings become distorted
mutating into a nightmarish scene

...grotesque figures...

... misshapen demons...

their voices giving way to a cacophony of desperate cries...


My fingers press against the cold window pane
trying to push through the glass
to reach out for you
to feel you one last time

... my perfect vision...

... my waking dream...

... my wish that can’t come true


Come to me now and end the nightmares
so that we might live forever in this dream
let us walk among the light
live beyond the clouds

let us never die...

never part...

and never
wake
up...
