to have not to hold
to hug but yet so cold
to kiss not to scream
to fear not to dream
to watch not to be told
to straighten out not to fold
to sleep but still awake
to frown not to fake
to cry not to smile
to fly not drive the miles
to sing not to mourn
to rip not to be torn
to love but not to keep
to find it but still seek
to say bye but still be there
to hate but still care
to drink not to taste
to not walk but make haste
and to steal not to borrow
for after all we may not be here tomorrow
