A Thunderstorm?

I stood outside watching
Alone but not afraid
Thunder groaning in the distance
The wind caressing my face
My hair became a cloud swirled about
As if my face were the sun.
I heard a chime nearby
The final warning
It started raining slowly at first
Then harder and harder as it grew closer
I was drenched with the clouds’ tears
Yet I did not stir
Suddenly a flash
Lightning lit the ominous sky above me
Momentarily freezing time
The thunder then threatened me with each clap
So I answered with a scream
For I am
The Maiden of the Storm
