You meant so much
I thought it was love
If you could have saw what you did to me
You voice put a smile on my face
Radiance from deep down shown once again
I was myself and didn’t feel guilty
You made my dreams sweeter
My days became brighter
It was like walking on clouds
Felt like heaven
I found myself lost in everyday things
For once I felt appreciated
That didn’t last long
Before I knew it things went wrong
It was too good to be true
For awhile I was miserable without you
Got on with my life
Pretended to have forgot everything
Never truly did though
I lie awake at night
Asking myself what happened
Wondering if you remember me
Your words play over in my head
Voice I won’t disregard
Before long I have tears of memories
Rolling down my cheek
Each cutting my heart
One thought after another
Scars of you will always remain
My soul is left to heal
