cold heart beat

You wonder why I want to get away?
Don’t act so naive !,
You know you keep me here locked up in this place,
Where darkness surrounds me

Why do you crave so much for me to stay?

Do you not see my misery?
Cause if I could I’d leave this place,
i'd do it in a heart beat

but the heart i used to have is cold,
numb from hearing your harsh scolds,
freezing so i know you can feel the burn,
i hear you scream,

you pierce my ears with guilt for not being the daughter i should be ,

you think you can warm up my heart,
by keeping me close to you,
you make me think the only way to get space is to hurt you,

i'll hurt you hoping you'll give up,
and give me the space i need ,
but it only backfires Rica shading back to me

if you “love” me so ,
put feeling in my life let me have memories,
stop being so selfish and only thinking of how others judge how you raised
me

how can you think you protect me,
why are you so blind ,
why cant you just be happy for me and let go
I’ll be fine.
