My grave for so long has been forgotten,
Long dead has my body been,
Yet never have I slept,
For one day I know you shall return,
You’ll dig me from this grave where my corpse lies,
And save me from this pain.
Until that day,
At my grave I shall not be,
Where I was happy I am now,
In the past, in your arms.
Yet I fail as I try to hold you again,
Your hand passes straight through mine.
I call your name as you drift away,
But you can’t hear me.
As you walk by my grave on these cold winter nights,
Without a glance, nor a single flicker of the eye,
I walk next to you, whispering,
Remember me.
All you have to do is remember,
And I’ll come back.
Help me from my forgotten grave,
Forget no more,
Remember me.
