Remains in my heart,
Still haunts me,
Still tears me apart.

As I lie alone in the dark, all I see is you,
I reach out to take your hand,
But I can’t touch you,
So close yet so far away.

I close my eyes, I try so escape,
But I still see you,
You’ve been with me since you left,
And you’ll stay with me through all eternity.

You’re like an invisible friend,
But you’re not invisible, you’re real,
And you were more than a friend to me,
Until you left.

But your ghost remained,
Day and night, all I see,
Is what’s been and gone,
The ghost of our love.
