When hearing your side I always turned
Never wanting to hear what I should have learned
Your lessons and teachings were an unstoppable guide
By not listening to them I lost my pride
Pride in who I am and what I could be
If only your words would have saved me
Now that the path I chose to follow has come to an end

Who to trust and how to let go
