i never believe in true love
until that faithful night

the room was dark,
not a person in sight

mistakes were made
and friendships lost

emotions ran heavy
and tears were tossed

amlost a year later
the tables have turned

one hearts learned its lesson
the other still urns

one heart stayed strong through all the pain
only heartbreak, the other has gained

but through it all one thing will not change
because through it all true love will remain
