My Friend

Friends for today,
Friends for everyday,
From when we met,
To the day of my death,
Friends we shall remain.
With out you around,
No doubt I,
Wouldn't be the same.
But us being friends,
Is a dream come true,
You bring joy,
Into my life.
Spark everyday,
And color my life.
Forever,
I had thought,
That I write my,
Own story of life.
But not until now,
Is it that I have realized,
All I do,
Is read it,
And live it,
Like a script for a play.
I don't write it,
Bad friends do.
That is how I know,
Our friendship is true.
You are not,
The author of my life.
But a mere editor.
To keep me safe,
To keep me alive.
You are what I call.
A friend till my,
Death day,
And forever that is how,
It shall remain.

Dedicated to Tia A.
