They say that money’s everything
You’ll find that they are wrong.
They say that life is just a thrill,
But Denial is their song.

They tell you what you want to hear,
But their words are black as coal.
They’ll give you the world for just a kiss,
And then they’ll steal your soul.

They set their traps to lure the young,
You see, it is a shame
To see the kids that flock to Hollywood
For the money and the fame.

You’ll find, of course, that life’s not fair
No matter what they say.
At first they let you get so far,
Then they take it all away.

But I won’t let them get to me
I won’t let them sing their song.
That’s not what I’m looking for…
And I know that they are wrong.
