what will I do?

A secret kept
Words withheld for a better time
A time in which we could be as one
A time meant for us
Now, never to be.

Joe, when I see you
Lying there
Lifeless
And cold

What will I do?
How can I expose my secret
Upon deafened ears which cannot hold
And arms a rot
Unable to comfort
Never again to wrap around my trembling form..

What will I do?
Without a chance to tell you the truth
To say I love you forever upon ever
To reveal my eternal need to be tied to your side

And death cannot take this
No death will not take this, nor you from me

What will I do without you
Without even a glimmer of hope
To see you- be with you again..

What will I do through this life
Each night I awake under a cold sweat
Tears pouring
What will I do when I don’t want to wake
When I don’t want to leave my dreams of you?

What will I do
Oh, Joe
What will I do
For I cannot live
How can I live
With this secret
And without you
