She said it all

She said she looked into your eyes and saw I wasn’t there
She said she listened to your heart and didn’t hear me there
She told me she felt your cold lips and told me I couldn’t warm them
She told me she watched your presence with mine and told me we had something
special

A friendship that will last without time

What she said brought dread to my thoughts and dreams
What she said no one else had ever said
What she said was what I never wanted to hear
What she said was what I never expected to hear

But just because he doesn’t love me the way I want him to doesn’t mean he
doesn’t love me at all
