The Pain of Being Good

Why is this so messed up?
Why is the world so consumed by death
And the demons that consume your mind?
You are all an abyss of hate
Which entraps the kind and the pure.
How many more lives and souls will you claim?
How many more spirits will you shatter and break?
The evil reaps the pure
To consume their souls and entrap their gaze.
Your bloody gaze disembowles their souls
Till a crimson puddle is left behind for the Vultures and the dirt.
The ground is gowing thick with blood.
The blood of the kind,
The innocent,
The pure.
They are lost.
Sent to feed the roses.
How pure is the blossom that grows.
Forever they fall and forever they raise,
A neverending cycle of light,
Soon to be broken and cut down by the infected.
