He
Stares into
The distant, deep blue
Pools
That reflect
Her
Mind, full
Of
Painful understanding.
His
Hand,
So strong before
Feels
Weak and softly faded.
Backwards,
His
Shadow retreats
Into
The inky
Depths
Of another
Shameless broken
Heart.
Her
Love was
Too
Unclean and wasted,
His
Heart was
Too
Pure and undefiled.
The said
“Love”
Was just
Animal lust
Teamed
Against young
Truth.
She
Watches him
Continue into
The
Distance,
Until the
Tears
Spill over,
And
Everything breaks down.
She
Had no idea
What
She had,
But when the
Cliché
Became reality,
She
Knew that
Love
Was just
A
Game.
