I gave up on tears.
I gave up on birth.
I gave up on happiness,
Or what it’s worth.
I gave up on school.
I gave up on speech.
I gave up on the teachers,
And the students they teach.
I gave up on society.
I gave up on voice.
I gave up on politics.
I gave up on choice.
I gave up on relatives.
I gave up on friends.
I gave up on everything.
