Obscurity For the Lost Children

Broken shadows casting upon broken mirrors,
Where hidden reflections lay,
And silenced cries fill the night with bitter betrayal.
With screams on the wind,
Breaking the peace,
And children huddled together,
Scared to breathe.
These lost children sit amongst the ruin,
Of our shattered world,
Searching for loved ones, searching for hope.
With stuffed animals held tightly in their grasps,
And bomb shells dropping behind them,
They think that tomorrow will never come.
But peace comes in the night,
Because they cannot see what a mess their world has become.
When dawn breaks over the land,
Hearts fall once more into the chaos of destruction,
And the pity from lost souls.
Buildings and houses lay in rubble,
And babies cry out for mothers who lie still on the ground.
Hope comes on the wings of a plane,
As it drops a new bomb to whipe all the chaos away.
So there is peace for now,
But for how long?
Until another society should fall?
