Here I sit, up in the sky,
How did I get here? I don't ask why.

It's so peaceful here I think--as I sit on my cloud,
I can hear the noise down on Earth--everything is so loud.

I continue to watch what's going on below,
Anger and hatred continues to show.

I wonder--was I like that? Did I do what they do?
Inside I feel so dumb because I don't have a clue.

Down there I look down on others--I thought I was the best,
But now I realize I'm just the same as the rest.

The sky is getting dark and out pops a star,
Once again, I ask myself--how I got this far?

My feeling of war and hate has changed--my heart has too,
Does God give everyone this wonderful view?

It's time to leave and I thank the Lord,
For giving me this view from on top of the world.
