A castle,
What good can it do standing alone
Without a queen,
It has no purpose
I have found a castle
As I stand in the rain
Outside the cold door
This is no castle you enter by knocking
Inside these walls are veiled stories
Malevolent scars that give the castle
An insincere intimidation
Only to keep others out
You know of the castle I speak
For you have passed without second thought
For some place so bitter in appearance could never touch
Your stone cold heart
It is not worth your while
But whose while is it worth?
Has anyone dared to get close enough
To hear the crying behind the iron gates?
I must be a fool
Because I have ventured to to enter
As my lips part
With a sad and weary and song
As if a lullaby, it awakens
And the door is opened
Ant the piercing tune wanders Through the castle
Arousing a light not seen before
Blankets of gold and diamonds unveil
A sparkle in this castle of solitude
Enchants the heart and lingers
On the doorstep to my soul
I am here in the castle
I need not hide anymore
My cloak of bravery has been shed
In the greatest hall I stand
Before the Prince
I am naked as the castle
Vulnerable, just like the walls surrounding me
Quite interesting it seems
Bravery did not spark this mission
The lonely halls of my castle
The quiet cries echoing through my heart
Searching for a castle
And my prince charming
I have found no prince charming
But a love so powerful
Has sought me out
Taken my soul
And I have been captured by the castle
And I wish it to be no different
*authors note* this is a different style formy poetry... and the whole poem
is basically one gigantic metaphor. A nd probably not what you think.
Anyways... comments are appreciated, but not necessary. Just let it linger
in herat a little...thats all i ask. thanx!
