Vulture Feast

Just leave me in the desert
With your promises of love
Use your silver tongue
As my sanity leaves me
Believing this paradise

Feed me your confessions
Of never feeling like this before
And let me drink your liquid poetry
So you can fatten me up
For your vulture feast

And when you run out
Of illusions to taint my heart
Tell me you will be right back
Just getting more to eat

Sit in your tree branch
Watching me rot away
Chewing on the bones
Of the one who feasted before me

Don't worry I wont fight
Ill lay down soon for you
And when I don't awake
All the vultures can feed

But can you taste the poison
Of your own relentless heart
Devouring your sanity
Making you regret
Your vulture feast

*This poem was inspired by a string of relationships with people that all
knew eachother. Hope you enjoy*
