He stares into my eyes
Though i look away and try to hide,
He still sees right through my disguise.

We're walking together hand in hand.
I tremble, though only for a second
But of course he notices and looks at me with eyes of care.

Lying together, fading into sleep.
I let on sob out and his soothing hand patiently comforts me.

In the morning, we did wake.
I tell him at last how I truly feel.
I say I love you, though I felt he already knew.
I sigh a relief.
And know that not telling him was the only mistake.
