With the Passing of the Moon

Rainbows hang in the morning mist,
And crystalyzed tear drops remain on the grass,
Still hidden under the rising sun.
She wakes to the sound of birdsong,
Realizing the night has turned into day.
She lingers for just a moment,
Only to kiss her lover's brow good bye.
Her thoughts stray back to their display of passion just last night,
As she runs to her home.
She arrives with the sun still behind her,
Praying that her family hasn't noticed her absence.
She opens her window,
And slips into her bed,
Falling into a dreamless slumber.
When she wakes later in the day,
She finds a rose on her chest attached to a letter,
Realizing her lover has come and gone.
Smiling fondly at the rose,
Her eyes scan the letter.
Her lover tells her that he adores her,
And to come sin with him again,
Under a starry sky.
And so, later that night,
They continue the oldest dance of all.
Each one holding onto a moment,
That they hope can never slip away.

~I'm putting this one under love because it seems that it should be in this
category more than in the sex category.
