The innocent, the guilty
all know what happened
It definitely wasn't pretty
and we, all of us, were saddened

It didn't dent our American pride
In fact, it made it rise

Chorus:
And don't you remember
what it felt like
that September day
All the people, all the people,
that passed away

Doesn't it hurt you
to see people messing with
the Red,White, and Blue?

When you saw the planes,
were ou afraid?
what was going through
your brain?

Chorus:
But oh, dont you remember
what it felt like
that September day
All the people, all the people
that died that day

There were planes flying
it was all destroyed
there were children crying
on that one day

And afterward,
there was just smoke,
vision was blurred
by tears everywhere.

Chorus:
But don't you rememmber
what it felt like
that September day
All the people, all the people,
that died that day

Don't forget
