"Mommy, where has daddy gone?
I wanted to play a game together,
I thought we could play something inside,
Since it's such sad and rainy weather."

Mommy replied sadly with a tear on her cheek,
"Daddy can't play a game right now with you,
He won't be home for a while..."
"But I made him something, look at the picture I drew,

This is the best picture I've drawn for him,
It's of him and me outside under the sun,
That one day we were at the park,
We were playing catch and having lots of fun!

If it's not rainy can we do it again tomarrow?
Daddy would have to come home then!
I love him so much,
He's my hero, i want to play with him again"

Mommy replied like this:
"Your daddy has past away,
And him we will greatly miss.
He had something called cancer,
The doctors tried,
But they couldn't find an answer.
This brought him to his death,
When he said he loved you,
That was with his dying breath.
I know he doesn't want you to cry,
But it's okay,
He is still always nearby.
He's still here to watch over you,
Get throught the sadness,
And pull you through.
He's now an angel above,
He's happy,
And peacful like a dove.
Someday him you will see,
In heaven,
And together you two will forever be."

With tears flowing down his little face,
He realized he would see his daddy no more,
Crying he ran to his room,
And looked at pictures on his bedroom floor.

He cried himself to sleep,
With a picture in his hand,
Why his daddy left him,
He didn't understand.

The little boy of six years,
Left his night light on,
Incase daddy was to come home,
Hoping daddy was not gone.

Now he waits on the front porch,
And stares into to the sky,
Waiting for daddy to come home,
Instead of saying good bye.
