Far away he lay asleep
A battered soul, hardened by injustice
But never one of the bleating sheep
A unique, many faceted gem
Some facets only shining when he lets them
Shine not at all some other sections
Because he's daunted by his imperfections
Confidence lacks, confidence soars
Intense love for all that he adores
Which is little I admit
He loves only what he sees fit
Soceity may mark him down
For his looks that are of no renown
But
His soul is gorgeous and that's no deception
Even if that's not his own perception
The man in the faceless crowd
Who thinks a lot, but not aloud
A melancholy cloud
Floating through so many times and spaces
Love seems to find him in all the wrong places
Still, hope remains when there is none
After the rainstorm there is always sun
And if not, well, the rain is also okay
Beauty in it's own way
We are all, no matter what they say,
Beauty in our own way
I love him, the man who sees the world
Just as I do
Through different eyes of different hue
The man in who I confide,
In almost all that I do
That man who knows deep down inside,
How much he loves me too
