Here she sits and ponders,
past events of today,
Slowly creeping onto her face,
a smile of hurt and pain.

Echoing through her tired mind,
her thoughts scream aloud,
defeaning in the heavy silence,
she knew her time was up.

Upon the earth she laid herself,
her soul she prayed he'd keep,
yet as her last prayer left her lips,
forsaken she was by him.

Cold and alone she awoke,
dead towards the world.
Trapped inside her myriad of thoughts,
within she found a home.
