Last night I dreamed my body was all light,
An escape from the darkness,
That I have been trapped in.
Last night I dreamed that I was soaring through the sky,
And this time,
My heart was with me.
I awoke with tears in my eyes,
Knowing what I wanted to do.
I snuck outside,
Into the blackness of the night,
Letting it consume me,
So that my passage into the light could be sweeter.
I found the bridge,
And stepped onto the railing,
Looking down at the water.
I smiled despite my pain,
The moon made the water all light.
I jumped into the light,
Melting into the water,
Collapsing onto the rocks.

Last night I dreamed that I had died,
And it was the best dream I have ever had.
