i have a friend i talk to on occasion
because he isnt around that much
he lives in a different town
but my heart is what he touched
i seen him two days ago
while hanging out with friends
little did i know
2 days later would be the end
i call my friend tom to see whats up
and he tells me a friend died
i asked who and as soon as he said his name
i immediately started to cry
he told me what happened
and how he died in a car crash
and how he hydroplaned into a 4x4 explorer
that day would be his last
i cried and cried for hours
with noone home all night to see me
i wish i could have told him that i cared
i wish that he could see
that even know we didnt talk that much
he still meant a great deal
and now my heart is in pain
a piece of it gone is like what it feels
i hope hes in heaven watching us
laughin as we're all down here cryin out our pain
and i really hope he knows that i thought of him as a friend
and i hope he keeps us all sain...
