Respecting You

You hit my mother when you two were married.
And you want me to respect you?
You lied to me about only having 1 or 2 beers once in a while, in truth you
drank a lot.
And you want me to respect you?
You made up lies about my mom and called her bad names that made me question
her all the time.
And you want me to respect you?
You made my mom fear for her life every second you were married.
Her thinking you were going to kill her with the guns that you kept in the
house.
And yet you still want me to respect you?
You say you're my biological father,
But to me you're dead.
You're not a father to me at all.
I do have a father though...
I met him when I was only 2 years old.
And when he married my mother, he also married me.
So, if you asked me who my father is,
I would say its Charles Thomas Cole,
A man that I have so much respect for,
Though I know I do not show it all the time.
But the thing they say is my father,
Paul Edward Donnelly,
As far as I'm concerned, he's not my father.
I have absolutley no respect for him,
As far as I'm concerned...
He does not exist in my life at all!!!
