Thing In Me

I never meant for you to see,
The darkness that lives within me,
I keep it locked up inside,
I try to keep it set aside.

But eventually, it breaks loose,
I don’t know how I can live with this abuse,
So I cut down, close to my vein,
Hoping it can somehow ease this ongoing pain.

You see, this demon in me,
That no one can see,
It’s eating me alive,
I will not survive.

God locked me out,
It is beyond any doubt,
Satan let me in,
He loves me, despite my sins.

Satan is my best friend,
He’ll be there, before and after my end,
I will never be alone,
Fore the Devil lives in my heart of stone.

So this thing that lives within,
That thrives on my mortal sins,
Will not just go away,
Fore always, it’s here to stay.
