I am a Christian girl who plays basketball.
I wonder what I will be when I grow up.
I hear my heart pounding inside my chest.
I see all the colors of the rainbow fading together.
I want to hang out with my friends all day long.
I am a Christian girl who plays basketball.

I pretend everything's ok, even when it is not.
I feel the weight of stress upon me.
I touch the wings of birds as they fly by above me.
I worry about the soldiers stationed in Iraq.
I cry for all the unfortunate things in the world.
I am a Christian girl who plays basketball.

I understand pain.
I say that you should never, NEVER quit.
I dream of playing in the Olympics.
I try to tell others about God.
I hope that my future husband will wait for me.
I am a Christian girl who plays basketball.
