Notes softly falling,
One over another.
Two sweet melodies
Blending with each other.

A heart was poured
Into this song.
An emotion was captured
Within the peaceful throng.

The sweet melody that rings
Tells of a forbidden love
Of lies and well-kept secrets
And a life still undreamed of.

Sadness now is the song
As the love did die.
Though the music still plays on
The question is "Why?"

The love may be over
But each time the song does play
Time stops for awhile
And the love can live again.
