The Etheric Double

you're just a girl who is trying to enjoy herself
i'm just a boy who is hiding in his room
you enjoy being with me, you don't care what we do
and i do too but i'm sad because i can't have you

no one can, you're the etheric double
it drives me insane, and your heart is still subtle
tell me a joke and i will laugh at command
it drives me insane how your heart is so subtle

when i see you i get happy and i smile at you
knowing that i can never conquer your mind
i take you home at the end of a dreamy night in wonderland
reality will then kick in and i am taken from your palace

will you ever give the key to your heart away
would you honor me, what an honor that would be
will you ever belong to anyone
i don't think, i don't think, i don't think
you're thinking
