Trapped and hopeless,
I'm bound in these chains
The chains that I have formed
That lay 'cross my skin
Watching and waiting
For one who'll save me
But time's wearing thin
For now I'll bathe in the moonlight
Let it wash away my sins
Praying for my release
So i may walk again, but this time
I'll be careful where I step
Each step one more mistake
More pain with each breath I take
The stars shine with sorrow
Dropping tear by tear
They fall effortlessly and softly land
Into the open refuge of my hand
Where I will hold them
And keep them as mine
