The phone rings,
She knows what the call brings.
She cries,
Covering her red eyes.

All the lies she hid
Covered for everything he did.
The black eyes and bruises
Were covered with fake excuses.

The knock on her door
Made all her tears pour.
She knew the phone was for her,
But she didn't want him to hurt her.

When her dad left she grabbed the phone
Waiting to hear him yell then the dial tone.
He used a sweet voice,
Which was quickly ruined by his words of choice.

He cursed and screamed at her
Not letting her tears defer.
He told her he wished her life would end
By a horible pain she could not comprehend.

She hung up in fear,
She laid down and slept after one last tear.
That night was silent
Even after it had turned violent.

She woke up with more tears,
Which brought back all her fears.
She decided she was tired of living,
She was tired of being so forgiving.

She took out her knife,
Deciding to end this life.
She pressed it to her skin,
She never wanted to breathe again.

Before she could slice,
She heard her name spoken twice.
She opened her window and her best friend was there,
To help her through her dispair.

He held her close and let her cry,
He told her he couldnt let her die.
That night when all things were wrong,
She found someone that would make her strong.
