My Dear Friend

My dear friend I'm by your side
I see your pain
I know your shame
I'll hold your hand forever
I just can't let go
I'm sorry i couldn't save you

why did you do this, my friend
your hand is getting cold
your breaths a bit shorter
please hold on a little longer

you could have left that school
if only they knew the pain they put you through
the scars on your arms each tell a story
they each hold a secret
they each tell of your pain

Please my friend hold on a little longer
I don't know what I'll do when your gone
Your lips have turned blue
Your hands are like ice

I remember the good times we had
And even some of the bad
I remember the laughter and the tears
Their still ringing in my ears

now that your gone things will never be the same
I find myself constantly saying your name
I'll never forget you my dear friend
And I hope to see you in the end
