The Rose With But One Petal To Fall

Bombs a falling,
Curses spreading,
No more sunshine,
Night is here to stay.

Leaves from colour,
Falling down,
Curling to die,
To black and white.

Shadows beneath the cloudy sky,
Chasing the smiles away,
In fear they vanish to nothingness,
Laughter silent in it’s grave.

The fire beneath the feet,
Scars only empty souls,
As bodies naked are lain,
Upon the blaze of destruction.

Nobody here,
Voices surround,
But only of dead,
Only of cold.

I look to the heavens with a tear in my eye,
I see the voice of cold,
But all is not lost in this sad little world,
For I gaze beyond your shadowed face,
And hope is glimpsed once more,
For even this rose with but one petal to fall,
Still has life and chance to return.

This is a poem comparing the love I've lost to life.... basically looking on
the bad side of life because of this love i've lost, until the very end
where I realise there's still hope....
