My Beloved Cousin

My beloved cousin
I loved you so much
We always related our lives to each other
We had so much fun.
But then one faithful day,
You were driving home,
The roads were icy,
And you lost control,
You hit a car and your car fell into a ditch.
God took you away from us on that day.
I didn’t believe it until I saw it on the news,
I was holding my dog crying,
I couldn’t believe it,
My favorite cousin was gone.
On the dreadful day of your funeral
I wrote you a note,
It says everything that I remember about you,
It was so hurtful,
But I had to do it.
Everyday I pray,
That somehow you could come back,
And it will come true.
On the day I die,
I’ll see your face in heaven.
Danielle,
You were a beloved daughter,
Sister,
Granddaughter,
Niece,
Cousin.
Danielle, we all miss you and love you,
My beloved cousin.
