She sits infront of her mirror
And stares back at a stranger
She walks on the wild side
But doesn't care about the danger

She sits in the chair full of memories
Of when she was just 2
She changed her life and personality
Just to impress you

She used to be so innocent
Always knew right from wrong
She was always the best person
Always knew where to belong

Her parents sat back in amazment
Watching their beautiful child
They thought it would always be this way
Never knew she would turn wild

So she sits infront of her mirror
Staring back at the lifeless imposter
While her parents were crying in their hearts
Thinking they had lost her

She couldn't take what was staring back at her
So she threw a fist
She saw blood all around her
So she looked down at her wrists

She looked down upon them
And slowly looked back up into space
She knew it was her fault
She knew she was the disgrace

Surrounded by shards of mirror
She lay crying on the floor
And to that lonely girls amazment
There was a soft knock on the door

She sat there with her hand on the knob
And thought about the end
Thinking no one could save her
She opened the door to her best friend

My best friend hugged me
And said "It will be alright"
She told me I didn't have to be lonely
That she would stay the night

I would have been dead now
If it weren't for the person who cared
So if you know somebody struggling
Let them know your there
