The person I pretend to be
for fear of rejection
has cover up my real identity
I cannot find my reflection
The longer I pretend
the more it grew to me
Now I can not change back
I'm stuck like this you see
Every smile I make is fake
because I can never be true
I wish that I could be me
instead of trying to impress you
