He’s been with me through everything,
He’s been my song, my reason to sing.
He is not gone, for he is still there.
I’m hopeful there’ll be times we continue to share.
I know he gets mad but it’s not his fault,
He hurts inside too, for love was put to a halt.
But I still find him amazing, seeing as how he’s full of such joy.
He’s turning into an adult and evolving from a boy.
I know things between us were not meant to be,
And that’s okay; I’ll continue being me.
Even though there’s a hole in the middle of my heart,
I know I’ll get by and give life a fresh start.
I’m going to try my best and give it my all,
For nothing is wrong with taking a small fall.
