My Good Friend: Fire

I'm nothing left.
Just a ghost in burning fires of light.
I have brought to this world more theft.
I light the fuses of fright.

Why can you not catch me?
Im swift like the wind through open plains,
All I have left is this burning candle and a tree...
I throw it down to start the pain.

Gasoline dumped through venalation shafts...
Bringing people to stop their mindless play.
Burning trails bend and twist in meaningless paths..
Leaving families dead and stray...

I'm not an enemy..
Just another sad part of the human race.
This all was meant to be,
I let the fires burn the face...

Nothing left to do now,
But to let the fires sift through the ground.
Ill take the blame for now.
Because I'm the only one left around...
