Im not depressed
and im not always in distress
so dont tell me im always upset
and that i cant keep my cool
dont judge me and make assumptions
especially when you dont even know me
im not gonna slit my wrists
or pop pills to put me to sleep
dont tell me
that you know me
i dont always need help
im my own damn person
i can stand up on my own
dont think you can predict my every move
and the next word out of my mouth
im not depressed
and im not just another damsel in distress
so dont tell me
that im never in control
that i cant handle myself
you dont know me
so dont tell me that you do
dont tell me im depressed
