Night Sky

I lay before the velvety night sky,
and let the moonlight wash away my sins.
I watch the stars shine with such elegance,
as I feel their breath blow softly 'cross my skin.
Just as I dream a secret dream. Of you.
I smile; As I have stolen a piece of time.
And while I lie here I press it closely to my chest,
Holding this moment; Keeping your memory as mine.
Although you are not here to lie with me,
I know that I am in no way alone.
As to not disturb the slightest taste of reverie,
I close my eyes...
For at sweet night you are my own.
