I would always watch you from a distance, admiring you.
Wishing I was the girl you were with, the girl your arms were around. I
watched you walk arm in arm with her, I longed for you. You always gave her
a certain look, which I'd do anything for you to give me. I'll
admit it , even though we were best friends, I wanted more. One day, your
voice could be heard over the phone line. You told me you both broke up
after four painstaking months. You laughed... you also thanked the guy she
cheated on with. I suppose that relationship wasn't good at all,
because without her, you smile. You laugh. You seem happy. You asked me out
a few days later. My dream came true, the love of my life liked me too. It
is the best feeling in the world. I can truly say I am at peace with myself,
and it is all because of you. I feel we are on the same page, because you
said something similar to me many times. I can tell you mean it by the look
in your eyes. Your eyes get all soft, and you look deep into mine. But
theres something different about the way you say you love me, maybe your
voice, or your eyes. Either way its like none other that you have ever given
your exes. I'm sure that when I tell you that I love you, that you know
with my eyes that I mean it. Even if you don't notice how sincere I am
in my eyes, just know that I truly do love you.
