Laughing and cheerful
Guess that's me
Radiant smiles
Is what you'd see

I always was
Pretty good at faking
For I feel right now
That my life is up for the taking

I want to be happy
Without a doubt
Keep trying and trying
Can't figure it out

I may start by thinking
About puppies and kittens
But my thoughts always go back
To those knives in the kitchen

Though you have to remember
Depression, it haunts
