I wish I were perfect you see…

Cause if I were perfect he would have taken me
I would have done the right thing (at that moment)
I would have moved closer to him

Cause If I were perfect the other one wouldn’t have cut himself for me
I wouldn’t have brought him to worlds full of pain
I would have loved him so much I couldn’t have

Cause if I were perfect I wouldn’t feel this way
I would have lots of friends and never free time
I wouldn’t have hated her every time (she left me)

Cause if I were perfect I wouldn’t carry these around
I would lay down the knife with a frown
I would look beyond the hurt and the pain

Cause if I were at all perfect….
Eighty pills and knife wouldn’t sound alright
